How to recover deleted post in blogger

Sunday, 9 March 2014

Often it happens with long time blogger sometimes we delete the wrong blogger post accidentally , not necessarily always you remember all content to rewrite the post . Whether the post is deleted from draft or published post you can recover both of them thank to Google cache .

Depends on conditions if your post is deleted from draft , an unpublished post you can recover that post

1. Recovering deleted draft post from :

 If deleted post was draft then to recover it you need the url of post , you can find it in history of browser or from the title of post . If you find that you can recover it.

------------

2. Recovering Published deleted Post :

 In this case two things play important role , Google search Cache and blog feed.

Major search engine have cache system which saves all indexed pages of particular blog . For searching in cache put url of website in this format and click cache search

Site:blog1.blogspot.com  or site:yoursite.com

-------------

3. How to Republish blogger Post in Cache :

 You can recover  the BlogID and the PostID, with these two ID you can edit and republish the deleted post in cache.

 you can republish deleted post , you need to create Post Editor URL  using blogID and the PostID.

https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=xxxxxxx#editor/target=post;
postID=yyyyyyyyyyyyyy

x and y are number ID of blog and post

with the same method you can also recover deleted Blogger page

https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=xxxxxxxx#editor/target=page;pageID=zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

x and z are number ID for blog and page only difference is in page there is pageID instead of postID

 Using this method you can retrieve all indexed pages and posts with all content and url , this work for only indexed posts and blogs . it won't work if posts were new and non-indexed .

4. Recovering blogger post from blog feed.

If  Google cache/search engine cache is not available for deleted post and blog publishes a post feed, thenyou can get it by subscribing to the post feed in  Google Reader , and recover the content of the post. then you can copy that content and Republish it.

In this Process you have to find the BlogID and PostID from the blog posts feed . With these two ID you can recover your post by making post editor url.

When you publish the post by copying content from feed , it will publish  with a new URL. then you have to use "Custom Redirect" for Old URL to new one. But you can't get the Position of post in index by this method.
